Childminder, Worthing

About Me
Hi,

My name is Louise, I am 30 years old, married and I live in Tarring in Worthing, West Sussex.

I have been married since 1998, and we all currently live in a private 3 bedroom property. We have a family pet cat called Sooty (...and surprisingly, he's all black), and a rabbit called Jasper. Both Sooty and Jasper are fully inoculated aginst diseases, and are regularly checked by the vet. I feel having pets around can aid in a childs development, however, if you have any concerns, I will be more than happy to discuss them with you.

I decided to take up childminding as I would benefit of having the luxury to stay at home and bring my children up as well as helping out parents who work themselves. I understand how important a childminder is to the parent and the child, as our 2 sons used to go to childcare when I was out working. We understood how important this role was and I feel I can offer the same to other children and their families.

Childminding is a profession and I am able to offer a homely environment for children to settle, learn and play. I like to encourage healthy eating as much as possible and am a great believer in developing children through lots of activity and play. I like to work closely with the children and their families to maximise the child’s development. I will provide updated information to parents.

My house is English speaking but will incorporate other languages as and when required, and I will always do my best to learn different languages and provide multi-cultural activies.

I have a secure garden to the rear of the house in which the children can play. There are tricycles, 2 slides, a swing, a large enclosed trampoline and a sand/water table available to play on/with, only under supervision.

Inside the house, the children will use the main living room for childminding. This is where the children will undertake most activities. We have a dining room table for eating/crafts etc. The Kitchen will not be used due to the potential dangers contained therein. There is a stair gate accross the kitchen door and at the bottom and top of the stairs. Upstairs, children will use the toilet and bathroom, and if needed children can sleep in one of the bedrooms in a travel cot/crib. The master bedroom will be inaccessible to the children.

My house is completely non-smoking, consequently, visitors are not allowed to smoke either. My husband does smoke, but I banish him outside, rain or shine, if he wants a cigarette.
